Since 2000 years ago, the Spice Road has brought treasures existing only on the other side of the world. Spices, goods, food; cultures, power, technologies - all shared along the routes as the earliest form of globalization. For centuries, we thought that all these exchanges were boundless.

Today, however, as we are experiencing the unprecedented climatic, ecological crises as well as the pandemic, a large part of humanity has found ourselves deprived of movement and of its ability to meet. Is it a harbinger that the world as we know is reaching its limits?
